First, decide on the final size and orientation of the paper, then divide it into columns and rows. When printing, scale the images to 100% or the actual size, and after making a test print, paste the images together using the overlapping areas.
First, convert the completed form into numbers.
Even if you use ``4 A4 sheets'', the finished form will be different if it is 2 horizontally x 2 vertically or 4 horizontally x 1 vertically. Measure the area where the bulletin board will be displayed, and first decide on the desired width and height, as well as the orientation of the paper.
The A4 is 210 × 297mm. 2 × 2 is equivalent to 420 × 594mm in a simple calculation, but the actual size may change slightly due to the overlap of non-printable margins and pastes of the printer.
Adjust the image aspect ratio
If the aspect ratios of the original image and the finished poster are different, the edges will be cut off or there will be blank space. Don't place important text or faces on the edges, but move them slightly inward.
If you stretch the image too much, people and logos will become distorted. Decide whether to trim to fit or leave margins, and check the preview.
Split and print settings
Use the split tool to specify the paper size, height and width, number of columns, and number of rows and save each page. It will be easier to work if you keep the file names in the same order after saving so that you can see the page numbers.
On the print screen, "Fit to paper" may be enabled automatically. If you want to keep the desired dimensions, choose 100% or actual size. Print the first one, check the size with a ruler, then print the rest.

Paste neatly
It will be easier to align if you cut only the margin on one side and overlap it with the margin on the other side. Another effective method is to look at the overlap using window light or a light table.
After temporarily fixing it and checking the whole thing, fix the back side with tape. For outdoor bulletin boards, also check for water resistance and available adhesives.
