Aim for the logo to be around 20% of the entire QR, add a white border, and use error correction H. Read both in the finished image and in print.
The logo hides the QR information
If you place the logo in the center of the QR code, the pattern underneath will not be readable. Error correction can compensate for some of the error, but if the logo is too large, it cannot be recovered.
Avoid overlaying logos and decorations on the three large position detection patterns in the corners or on the white margins around them.
Based on around 20% and the white border
The standard Pixel Toolbox logo fits into a frame approximately 20% of the QR width, leaving a margin around the logo. Complex logos will look crushed if you make them smaller, so use versions with simpler shapes and fewer text.
Even if the logo is transparent, the outline will be lost if the background overlaps the QR pattern. A white base or edge will make it easier to separate the logo from the QR.
Maintain readability with color and size
The basics are a dark pattern and a white background. Avoid light colors, photographic backgrounds, and gradations as they tend to lack contrast.
When printing, the smaller you make it, the more each square will be crushed. Check not only the on-screen preview, but also the actual paper and the distance you plan to use it.
Try multiple reading methods
If you try different methods such as iPhone camera, Android device, and QR image reading, you will notice bias. Check in bright and slightly dark places, as well as from the front and diagonally.
If reading is unstable, first make the logo smaller, then make the QR image larger. Prioritize getting the information across before adding more decorations.
Implementation of standard logo placement
Standard and custom logos are centered with the same upper bound.
Check QR with logo
- ✓The logo does not overlap the position detection pattern
- ✓There is a white space around the logo
- ✓Made with dark colors and white background
- ✓Can be read on multiple devices
- ✓Confirmed by actual size printing
QR code generation
You can create a QR by placing the standard logo or your own logo in the center and setting it for reading.
QR code generation→This article gives general guidance. If a recipient, printer or official service provides its own requirements, follow those requirements first.
A SMALL NOTE FROM SPACEThe logo is the flag, and the QR is the route. The key to safe arrival is not to make the flag too large and obscure the route.
