Open the PDF you want to split, check the number of pages, and use the tool to split one page at a time. Extract the ZIP and check the contents and number of the required pages.
Check page numbers before splitting
The page number displayed on the PDF screen may not match the number printed on the document body. If you include the cover page or table of contents, it will shift, so decide which one to use as the standard.
If you are handing over only the necessary pages to a third party, make sure that the preceding and succeeding pages do not contain personal information or unnecessary materials.
Copy one page at a time to a new PDF
Current tools take the pages of the original PDF one by one and create a new PDF containing only each page. The original file will not be changed.
Output files are stored in ZIP with 3-digit numbers like page-001.pdf, making it easy to maintain the order even after extraction.
Extract the ZIP to see the contents
Extract the downloaded ZIP and open the first, middle, and last pages. Even if there are many pages, check not only the necessary pages but also the boundaries.
You can check the contents of the extracted folder on Windows or from the File app on iPhone. The operation name varies depending on the app you use.
Give the shared file a meaningful name
It may be difficult for the other party to judge the contents if page-003.pdf is left as it is. After checking the required pages, rename them within a safe range, such as ``Quotation'' or ``2nd page of application form.''
Save the original PDF and the split files in separate folders to avoid mixing them up, and select only the correct files before sending.
Output rules for split files
The page order and file names are fixed to make it easier to sort them even after expansion.
